Comparable Games Market Analysis

Last updated 21 October 2026

We find the 200 released Steam games closest to yours and show how they actually performed.

Comparable titles in a pitch are usually a handful of well-known successes sharing a tag with the project. They show what is possible, but not what is most likely. We compare your project with the 200 closest games by content, features and production scope, successes and failures alike, so you see the full range of outcomes.

Who it's for

Studios preparing a pitch to publishers or investors, and publishers and investors assessing a project.

Method & data

We rank every eligible Steam game by its distance to your project, combining Steam tags, the meaning of store descriptions, game features and production scope, and keep the 200 closest. Eligible games were released from 2020 to 2025, have at least 30 reviews and launched at €5 or more. Revenue is estimated net Steam revenue; development budgets come from our Production Modeling research. The full method of the comparison is on our Game Taxonomy research page.
